inspired by my tattoo artist fiance, i created this necklace. it is his original design that i made into wearable tattoo art!it is a sea foam green and bright pink songbird, or swallow.
To sailors, songbirds symbolized that land was near, so they were considered to be a good sign that marked the beginning or and of a journey.
this hand painted acrylic charm measures 2 inches tall and 2 inch wide (image is seen from both sides), hangs from an 18 inch long silver plated chain and closes with a spring ring.
