A set of three included here, these are absolutely adorable children's school readers with vibrant illustrations in all! Perfect for your book collection or stash of ephemera for collage, assemblage, mixed media, art, scrapbooking or cardmaking projects!The first entitled "Friendly Village," first published in 1936, this one from 1941. Part of The Alice And Jerry Books ~ Reading Foundation Series and published by Row, Peterson and Company. 248 pages depicting life in the Friendly Village.
Another titled "Hello, David" printed in 1949 by the Scott, Forseman and Comany. Part of The Social Studies Program Curriculum Foundation Series. 160 pages of David and the people and things he meets.
The third, "New Centerville" first printed in 1938, this one from 1948 is part of the same series as the Hello, David book. 288 pages full of colorful illustrations.
The books measure 6 by 8 inches each. Two of them are stamped inside with "Property of the TOWN OF DERRY, N.H." Properly aged to perfection! Wear to front and back covers and spine. A few wrinkles, a few spots, some pencil marks but otherwise the inside pages are in great overall condition for their age! Plenty of great illustrations on almost every page! Sold as is.
