Custom Fit wrist pincushion!

In my never ending quest to create the ultimate pincushion, I found out that many of you prefer one that you can wear on your wrist but have trouble finding one you really like. So, I asked what the most desirable qualities are in a wristy. The top 5 were:

1. size - big enough to hold lots of pins but not too big.
3. Protective barrier - so you don't poke yourself
4. convenience - you want it to slip on and off easily
5. Fit and comfort - you want it to be light weight and to
stay put without squeezing your wrist.
5. Shape - you want a low profile and you don't want
corners that make it cumbersome to wear while cutting
and sewing.

So, keeping all of that in mind, I went to the drawing board and concluded that once again, the classic tomato pincushion, Love Laurie style, was the answer. At 3 inches wide and 1.25 inches high, this cushie will give you lots of storage without being cumbersome even on a small wrist! (It is pictured here on me. My wrist measures just under 6 inches.) The round shape is perfect for function and sections are always great to have, even on a wristy.

It is stuffed with lanolin rich wool that I processed myself to ensure that just the right amount of lanolin was retained. The lanolin conditions your pins and needles, so they slide in and out of your fabric like butter! I purchased my raw wool from Majic Stix Fibers at www.skimpysmom.etsy.com.

I have inserted an inpenetrable protective barrier to protect your wrist from jabs. But don't worry, every component has been either machine or hand stitched. There is never any glue used on my pincushions!

The band is made with a quarter inch wide quality elastic that will retain its shape. No fumbling around with closures. Just slip it on and you're ready to go. Here's the best part...your band will be custom made just for you to insure a perfect fit! Just give me your wrist measurement in the notes to seller and allow 24 hours before shipping so I can complete your wristy. Unless you specify otherwise, I will fit your cushie to stretch over your hand easily and sit on your wrist perfectly so it doesn't move around, with very little if any stretch. This will make it comfortable on your wrist and there will be plenty of give if you prefer to wear it over your sleeve. Last picture shows band.
