Description

Named after my favorite childhood barbies, DONNY & MARIE cuckoobatts are hot pink and purple superwash wool with hot pink nylon sparkle, just as fabulous as Donny and Marie's awesome filmy chiffon purple and pink matching costumes.

These cuckoobatts are bouncy and soft and weigh 2.5+ ounces each. Superwash is specially treated so that your yarn will be machine washable. This is a soft, silky fiber better suited to more experienced spinners. It is not suitable for wet felting, but fine for needle felting.

If you've never spun from a batt, you can tear it into strips (and pre-draft them if you wish), draft the whole thing repeatedly until you have one long strip of roving, or (my favorite), spin directly from the whole batt, letting the fibers get drawn in randomly. Batts are lofty and draft effortlessly, so they're easy peasy lemon squeezy. If you're a beginning spinner, struggling with dense, heavy yarn spun from wool top, you will be well pleased with your lofty batt-spun yarny goodness.
