1940 Letter From Bradenton Florida With Envelope
Description
This letter and envelope is dated Feb. 4th 1940. It was written to Anna in Herman, New York. Apparently Anna was in the hospital after a fall. What I found interesting was the reference to plants, trees, sights and weather in Florida. The writer also talks about her train trip from Northern New York to Florida and how lucky the people who can go by car are. She writes about all the traffic. "I am sitting in the sun room ocasionaly looking out on the flying trafic. It is just like a prosesion of cars both ways on 14th St-The Tamiami Trail". She goes on to say "Just now there are about twenty cars in sight".There are 4 pages, filled front and back. This lady was truly in awe of her surroundings. Being from Herman, NY I can see why.
