Enamorous - luxurious mixed fabric ruffled flower brooch with 1940's vintage japaned crystal-studded button

Description

This ruffled floral brooch has been created using many layers of fabric. Colours of gold, champagne, purple, plum combine to create a fabulous accessory with a Victoriana sensibility. Each fabric petal is cut out by hand and then finished to prevent fraying. Carefully handstitched together, a vintage button has been added to the centre, and a lockable pin secured to the reverse. The square, curved button is from the late 1940's era - it has been japaned (blackened) and features incredibly sparkly jet black rhinestones studded into the surface. A very special piece indeed!

This measures approximately 8 1/2 cm or 3 1/4" in width approximately.
