Rainbow OM Necklace with Gemstones and Antique Silver-plate Chain

Description

The symbol on the pendant is Sanskrit for 'OM', or "AUM'. AUM is the spoken mantra that means the whole universe - past, present and future. It symbolizes the totality or wholeness. It is called the 'seed mantra' that encompasses all sounds of language. It also means to 'bow to' and 'to accept'. The rainbow symbolizes hope, and diversity in harmony.

The fine silver pendant is made by the Hill tribe, and measures about 1/2 inch (13 mm) across. On both sides of the pendant are 2 solid brass rice beads (5 x 3mm). Next are 3 spacers; two sterling & one gold-plated.

The round rainbow beads are just over 1/8 inch (4 mm) across. From the pendant they are: red horn, carnelian, tiger-eye, serpentine jade, turquoise, blue onyx, and amethyst. Next are more spacers (same as the ones near the pendant). The cable chain is about 3mm wide and is antique silver-plated. The necklace ends with a sterling clasp and rings.

LENGTH: 16 3/4 inches & is adjustable to 17 3/4 inches.
