Alpaca Samples - Five 1 ounce Bundles

Description

This listing is for 5 one ounce samples of alpaca fiber. I've had several requests from fiber artists for a sampler of some of my fiber. These can be spun, carded together, used for felting, whatever your creativity demands.

Starting at the bottom left and going up and around:

Black - This fiber was grown on a couple of black and bay black alpacas, mainly Berringer. Berringer is now a 4-H fiber boy living on a farm in northern Michigan. I miss him because he was a very gentle, sweet feller.

White - The 50% white merino in this blend is from genopalette, a shop here on Etsy. The 50% alpaca is a combination of my white alpacas: Lady Belita, Ariana, and the seconds from Pollux's baby fleece.

Swirl - This is a stunning, soft roving that was prepared by Zeilinger's Fiber Mill in Frankenmuth, Michigan, from the fiber of my light fawn, nearly white, girl named Celeste, and from my friendly brown fiber boy, Orion (Slammie).

Brown - 60% alpaca/40% dyed merino. This roving isn't as soft as the rest of the fiber in the sampler, but it is softer than most wool. It's a lovely reddish brown color from my Sonata and merino that Zeilinger's mill dyed.

Gray - 10% colored kid mohair and 90% natural colored alpaca
This is a lovely soft roving that is sure to spin or felt beautifully.
I wanted a dark, deep charcoal gray so I added some pure black fleece from our girl Chinella to the fleeces of my gray herd sire, Tribute, and my gray, rebellious, naughty fiber boy, Gunny.

This package would make an excellent gift for your spinning friends, or a great variety of natural colors and fibers for you pokin' felters out there.
