I am a proud member of the Trashion Team here on Etsy and I love to create beautiful pieces of one of a kind, wearable art from recycled materials.



Here's a great EcoBangle(TM) wrapped with an colorful vintage map of Germany, Switzerland and Austria in the early 1960's ... wearing this bangle will take you back in time for a road trip across Europe.


This Map Lover's EcoBangle(TM) includes Basel, Switzerland; the Boden Sea; German cities like Penzberg, Bad Reichenhall and Salzburg; and continues on toBad Ischl and Admont, Austria. This section was cut from an early 196o's map published by the National Geographic Society. It has everything I look for when creating eye catching EcoBangles(TM) ... great colors and interesting place names.

I prepared the base by painting one side vibrant grass green and the other side a medium blue. The two colors meet on the inside creating a wavey line. Next, I wrapped the EcoBangle(TM) with the carefully chosen section of map. Finally, I signed and dated the inside of the EcoBangle(TM) and added several coats of polyurethane to provide durability.

Recycled content: heavy duty cardboard tubing, vintage map, excess paint from my painter’s pallet.

Other materials: polyurethane.
