Hand Dyed Fabric Earth and Water

Description

This hand dyed fabric features turquoise gradated to a soft brown. I see ocean currents and islands when I look at this fabric. What do you see?

Hand dyed fabrics are used in many creative ways, including as backgrounds in art quilting, piecing in traditional quilts, delicate petals and more in applique quilts, as well as in fiber arts, mixed media, fabric postcards, journal covers, art dolls, wearable art, bags, framed art and home decor.

White background on some pieces enable the pieces to 'glow' and the imagination to picture what is depicted in nature, such as snow, clouds, rocks, and animal fur.

Because of the process of hand dyeing, the fabrics are preshrunk. I do not guarantee that the fabrics are colorfast, however, every effort has been made to create a quality product (I have had no complaints about a lack of colorfastness from any customer and I use my own dyed fabrics without any problems). I suggest that you prewash your fabric with a gentle detergent such as Synthrapol or Dawn Liquid. The fabrics can be damp-dried in a dryer and then pressed.

As with any textile, do not leave fabrics in prolonged sun exposure.
