tumbled clay necklace
Description
ALL orders ship for free until december 16!each of the flat, smooth stone-like beads in this necklace were hand-formed from polymer clay; the designs are not painted on the surface but created from layering thin sheets of tinted translucent and pearlescent clay with flakes of silver leaf and mica particles. they have a silky smooth texture because they were tumble-sanded in a rock tumbler for many hours. I finished the beads by polishing and buffing each one by hand, and then used antiqued copper filigree beads and findings to form this 16" necklace, made to lay just at the base of the neck.
