Pheasant in Flight

Description

This is a hand crafted wall hanging made out of solid wood surrounded with a live edge (the natural bark is still on the wood). It shows a pheasant being flushed from a wooded area.

The overall dimensions are approximately 12 inches wide by 10 inches high and 5/8 inch thick. It is cut from solid basswood and the natural bark surrounds the remaining portion of the plaque. The pattern is cut out of the wood using a scroll saw; the cutouts go through the wood. A clear shellac is sprayed on it to protect the wood and enhance it's beauty. There is a sawtooth hanger on the back for hanging on a wall.
