GINGHAM SQUARES Vintage 1950s HUGE POCKETS Halter Dress M 36

Description

This killer vintage 50's dress is made of a sheer cotton plisse. It features a pleated, halter neckline that simply pops over your head. Wide, double waistline. Back metal zipper. The bodice is partially lined in white nylon. The dress is extremely lightweight, almost like you're wearing nothing! It's the perfect summer dress!

The skirt is circled in wide box pleats and flares to a full skirt (not a full circle.) There's an attached, white cotton underskirt. 2 giant, kicky pockets on the front hips.

But DIG that CRAZY PRINT! The allover print is a tiny, black and white gingham pattern, with "falling" white squares on top. A guranteed charmer! So bombshell, so "Marilyn"!

There are no labels. It looks like there were some later alterations done to the dress~ the nylon bodice lining and attached cotton slip in the skirt don't seem original. The dress fits like a modern medium, but please follow these measurements:
BUST: 36", good for a larger bust up to a full C cup
WAIST: 28"
HIP: Full
BODICE to waist: 18"
SKIRT LENGTH: 24", with a whopping 6" extra hem to let down if needed
CONDITION: Very good +! There are a couple inches of sloppily-sewn seams on the waist. Otherwise, the dress is exceptionally clean, free of stains, odors, fading or holes. Washer/dryer friendly and ready to rock!
