SALE 30 PERCENT OFF - Shu-iro Kimono Tote
Description
*******SALE********30 percent off now. It was $34 but now it is only $23!
It takes a long time to make a kimono fabric. Therefore, it is very expensive. We pass our kimono from generation to generation. Kimono has processes of dyeing and sometimes painting. Once you touch the real kimono fabric, you will love it.
I used authentic Japanese vintage kimono fabrics for outside and lining. It is 100% Japanese silk. I brought these fabrics from Japan with me. Both of the kimono fabrics were never used as kimonos. The outside fabric is called "chirimen" (crepe fabric). The color of this kimono fabric is called "shu-iro" ( vermilion color) in Japanese. It is bright red with a hint of orange color. It is very beautiful. Lining kimono has black and white stripes. I also used fusible interfacing for to reinforce the outside fabric and the pockets.
I decorated this tote with a little kimono.
I used shibori kimono fabric for this part.
Shibori is dyed after the fabric is tied with many small threads. This produces tiny dots of color.
Love this little kimono?
I also have kimono necklaces just like this in my another shop: SomethingKawaii
http://www.somethingkawaii.etsy.com
It has
- a zipper pocket inside
- a open pocket inside
Enjoy this kimono tote.
