Grey Cord Abstract Art Skirt
Description
I made this unique skirt from a vintage piece of grey, pinwale cord. I am amazed at how beautiful it turned out after hours of sewing. I gave it a simple a-line cut that is flattering on all shapes and sizes. The front applique is cut from a hand dyes hemp muslin in mottled shades of brown, purple and lavender. I did a free form design that was very fun. I did the design straight out of my mind with no planning, letting the design flow organicly. Done in purple, brown and light grey threads. Drawstring waist ties at the back, so you can have a flat front and cinch all the extra fabric at the booty. Will be a mid calf-length on a more average woman.Waist: opens to 48"
