John Cusack and Dermot Mulroney are both adorable, but it was Mother Theresa, the loyal and loveable Newfoundland, who stole my heart in "Must Love Dogs."

This Newfie dog is part of my Giant Dog Breeds Ornament collection. Made from my own pattern design, she measures 5.75 inches (14.6 cm) tall by 6.5 inches (16.5 cm) wide. Her scarf is made from an actual red cotton print bandana (vintage, of course!), the eyes are modern day glass beads, and the nose is embroidered. She even has floppy ears! The embroidered ribbon hanger is made of vintage trim from Switzerland.

Inspired by the biggest, sweetest dog I ever knew, named Puppy. A neighbor’s dog, he would walk me to work every morning, and make sure I was delivered safely, before he headed back home.

Made from thick, soft winter coat wool that is washed in hot water before cutting. Completely hand-sewn with black embroidery floss, using the blanket stitch, and plumply stuffed with non-allergenic polyfil.

Perfect for the holidays, or every day: as a Christmas tree ornament, package decoration, hanging from your rear-view mirror, a door knob, or standing by your computer to keep you company! These dogs won't make you stop what you're doing to take them for a walk, like some dogs I know and love!

Great for dog lovers of all ages, but not for unsupervised play by small children because of the bead eyes.
