Grapes, dark blue-purple and intense in flavor, grow wild on our farm's old fencerows. We picked them at their juiciest and turned them into a wild grape jam that according to our eldest goddaughter, makes the "best peanut butter and jelly sandwich ever." She should know, this 12-year-old connoisseur.

This is a local favorite among adults and small people alike. It's not clear like a jelly, but retains much of the fruit pulp, and has a thick creamy texture for spreading. You'll want to try this at home!
