PEPPERMINT BARK textile art BASKET bowl in candy colors

Description

A proud holiday tradition of artisanal candymaking, peppermint bark is the inspired combination of rich velvety chocolate, oil of peppermint,white chocolate and a snowfall of real peppermint bits.

Inspired by the candy's contrast of texture and color, this textile art bowl has been hand coiled in dark chocolate brown, milk chocolate brown, white, reds and peppermint pinks.

The rounded bowl shaped basket measures 13.5 inches in diameter.
It sits almost 5 inches tall. In addition to the candy colors, there is also just a bit of yellow, a dash of green and the hint of silver.

It is a nice, large size for use as a centerpiece/storage on any dining room or kitchen table, and makes a terrific housewarming or holiday gift.


My baskets are made by the coiling method of basketry. Strips of fabric (both new and recycled) are wrapped around an inner cording as the shape is formed. The inner cording makes these baskets sturdier than other fabric, felted or crocheted items.
Each one is entirely handmade with no machine stitching.
Each one is unique.
