OSU Buckeye Pin - made from recycled sweaters
Description
A simple and fun way to show some love for the Buckeyes! Also a great gift for the Buckeye 'nut' in your life.This 3-D pin with 2 leaves was made from old wool sweaters. The leaves were soaked in fabric stiffener so that they would hold their shape and not 'flop'.
The leaves have been seamed - that is, I've created the illusion of a stem/vein with green thread. Everything has been hand-sewn together. The pin backing is attached with both super glue and thread for extra security.
Dimensions:
The buckeye is about 1.5" in diameter and 1" high. Leaves make the pin 3" h x 4" w.
Centimeters:
About 4 in diameter and 2.5 high. Leaves make the pin 7.5 h x 10 w.
