Bottom of the Pool Peyote Beadwoven Bracelet

Description

I once swam in a pool that was tiled with beautiful little deep blue and gold tiles. I felt like Greek goddess floating in a dark, but sparkling, sea. That pool wasn't the inspiration for this piece but as soon as I saw these beads together, that pool came immediately to mind.

This bracelet is woven in simple peyote stitch, but because it uses different sizes and shapes of beads, has a freeform look. But the beads are really the stars here - deep green iris-finished, marine blue triangles, matte gold cubes, and the star of the show - amber triangle beads, lined with green and blue. Depending upon the angle, the amber adds a mysterious glow - reminding me of the water in that pool.

The texture is great too. Because of the different sizes and shapes of the beads, the piece undulates with wonderful curves. It is closed with a simple beaded toggle clasp and measures between 1" and 1 1/8" wide.
