This stunningly detailed print is one of so many from an outstanding collection of Victorian engravings I recently scored; wrestled out of the hands of a friend, a lifelong collector of Victorian art.
This amazing steel engraved print measures 7" x 10". The image itself measures 6" x 8." I just think it's far too much fun and way too lovely to be stashed away in a box where it's been hiding for who knows how long. It would be absolutely fabulous framed.
"Swallows In The Rigging" will come to your doorstep packed flat in a stiff plastic sleeve to protect it from damage on it's trip from my place to yours,lovingly delivered to your mailbox by those nice folks at the USPS.
This delightful antique page is crisp and fresh condition with the usual even tanning and finger smudges one usually finds in 129 year old paper. Please note there is a slightly darker 1/4" damp spot at the very top edge of this illustration; an easily crop-able fix if you plan to mat and frame it, which I certainly hope you do.
