The Tulip Tree Story

I am so drawn to trees, and am very fortunate to have so many on our neck of the woods. They do take a huge amount of management and money. Sometimes it is so sad to have to remove because it's the right thing to do to keep others in the nearby vicinity. And so it was with this tree, so fragile and dangerous.

But the special thing is when my husband showed me a branch he was going to cut for kindling I noticed something extraordinary. A wood spirit inside. I know I have a strange imagination, but there they are. My husband cut the branch into small sections, I took a few and hand sanded them on both sides to make sure the spirit or wood angel was still there.

They are now are little special reminders of the Tulip Tree and the invisible spirits and souls that watch over us, courtesy of Mother Nature. Some of them even appear to have little halos.

These little wood spirits or angels vary in size from 2.5 to almost 3. inches in diameter. They sit perfectly on a shelf, window sill or on a small bedside table. I do have several please convo if you are interested in more than one. The two photos in the listing show them unsanded.
