inspired by my tattoo artist fiance, i created this necklace.it is a blue and pink songbird, or swallow. the charm is hand painted on hard cut plastic then sealed with varnish for protection. it measures .75 inches wide and .5 inchea tall. it hangs from a double threaded 16 inch long cotton candy pink thread and closes with a spring ring.
to sailors, songbirds symbolized that land was near, so they were considered to be a good sign that marked the beginning or and of a journey. put it on, and once the thread breaks your bird will fly and make your wish come true. let your journey take flight!
