Set of 5 Blue Birds IN STOCK

Description

A set of 5 bird sculptures--hand sculpted by me in my speckled stoneware and then glazed in a rich, mottled, rustic, dry matte turquoise glaze. This glaze has variations--some areas are more shiny, but mostly it's very dry and matte--this is hard to convey in the photos.


The size of each bird varies between 2-2.25" long (from head to tail) and .75-1" high.

Item listed is very, very similar to the one pictured but not the exact item. I make dozens of these birdies at a time, and each is approx. the same size and shape but since it's all hand sculpting, they do have slight variations...sometimes it's the taper of the side of the bird or the bird beak/tail may be a little shorter or longer....I have been a production potter for many years and can make several items as sets that are very similar and match well. I find it works well to list the items this way, and keeps me from the computer all day and not at the wheel throwing pots!
