Strolling about in the deep dark woods can tax a gentle heart. The trees bend at their knees to whisper sinister things and tangle their creaky fingers in crimson scarves and blond tresses. Owls swoop with wide eyes and in the creek bottom, spirits begin to swirl. It's no cake walk, wandering through the deep dark woods, but every now and again, it's good to have the shadows push at one's pulse.

This ring is composed of sterling silver and a huge and sinister looking cut of Picasso jasper from Utah. The stone itself resembles a deep, dark, thick wood; inky black with pale yellow and grey pushing in from behind the tree trunks and branches. I've set the stone in a simple bezel and popped some sterling balls around the edge of the setting for a bit of whimsy and a natural feel. The band on this ring is etched with a smattering of polka dots and measures a US ring size 11 -- but it's WIDE so please expect it to fit about a full size smaller, at least. My maker's mark and trademark bird button let you know this is original plumage.
