This luxurious silk boucle yarn has fabulous texture and a beautiful sheen. This yarn is not a bright white, it is an ivory off-white color. Additional quantities are available, convo me if you need more - get two skeins for $28, or three skeins for $41. Each skein is 180 - 190 yards; suggested needle size US 6-7.

In the interest of full disclosure, unlike my recycled yarns, this silk boucle yarn is not a fair trade item. In the past I have limited myself to small fair trade organizations, but I wanted to expand my offerings to include some yarns that are not handspun, and whose processing requires machinery typically owned by large factories. I selected this particular Chinese factory because of their progressive attitude. Most Chinese factories that I worked with in my prior career as a fashion designer were staffed largely by young Asian women who had no opportunity for career advancement; all management positions were held by men. The factory that produced this boucle yarn has female executives.
