Kaleidoscope Cocktail

Description

A sea of blue bubbles forms this kaleidoscope matrix.

Believe it or not, only clear glass rods and a white glass base make up this beauty. All of the blue bubbles are formed by rolling each clear rod in a super fine metal powder. The metal and the glass react when they are heated together, leaving all of the blue bubbles.

Two of the same pattern were cast in glass seperately. Then each piece was ground, and layered once again in a mold for a subsequent firing. This time I shifted the pattern, forming the more complex design. confused......

The bezel is created out of sterling silver that has been oxidized and polished.

This ring is a size 8.
