Vintage 1950s Parisian MakeUp Glasses

This is one of my absolute favorite vintage finds, especially because it took me a while to figure out what it even was. I was told upon purchase that this was a Schminkbrille (make-up glasses)from the 1950s. Each of the glasses can be lifted up to apply eye make-up. After a little internet research I discovered they were invented for women who wear glasses. Applying eye make-up can be trying if you can't see, so these glasses were invented to help you a bit in the process. Although they definitely would be great for any vintage-loving glasses wearers who would like to apply their black eye-liner in a straight line, those with better vision could also wear them as reading glasses or just have them in their collection of true vintage oddities.

Besides their wonderful 50s cat eye shape, they also are apparently from Paris: On one side of the frames is printed "Paris" and on the "Frame France." What more could a funky vintage-lover ask for?

The glasses are in excellent condition. The right flip-glass is a bit looser than the left, but all it would take to fix it is a quick trip to the optometrist to tighten the tiny screw (I would also be happy to have this done for you before sending them off.)
