Fabric Photo Bookmark with Sunflower Image, Orange and Beige

As you step through a portal and begin a new reading adventure, my bookmarks will keep your place along the way with unique style. Featuring images that will remind you of beautiful places or your favorite things, you will find these bookmarks taking you on a journey before you start reading!

This bookmark is from the Sunflower Theme. On the front is an image of a sunflower in bloom. It is set against a fun fabric that looks like painted weathered wood. The reverse is covered in a deep orange-red patterned fabric. The edges are finished in a sunflower orange thread.

THE SPECIFICS:

THE PHOTO: This bookmark features one 2 inch square photo printed on fabric titled Sunflower 5. This is original Jessica Rogers photography* printed on fabric. The same care and attention to detail is taken in producing these photos as in all my photographic work, to give you the highest quality possible. In the ink-setting process, the fabric was purposefully rubbed to create another layer of visual texture. In some areas you may notice the colors look a bit faded or a bit darker, depending on how the ink was re-distributed.

DIMENSIONS: Approximately 2 x 6 inches long, and roughly 1/8 inch thick. It fits comfortably in a standard sized paperback book without hanging out the ends.

MATERIALS: A heavy polyester interfacing is used between two pieces of cotton fabric, adding stiffness so your bookmark won’t be flimsy. Cotton fabrics for the front and back are carefully chosen to coordinate with the colors in the photo. The edges are finished with a tight zigzag stitch in a complimentary thread color.

You will be getting a one-of-a-kind usable piece of art! Each bookmark is unique due to the varying patterns in the fabric as well as the methods used in transferring the photos to fabric, so your bookmark may look slightly different than the one in the sample photos above. Each one is hand made by me in my cat- and dog-friendly home. Your bookmark will also be signed discreetly by the artist – me!
