Horse Glass Necklace - Green Grass Blue Skies

Description

A running horse decorates this glass pendant. This necklace features a kiln formed pendant made of white and clear glasses. The painting was done of two different glass layers, with powdered glass paints that become a glossy, permanent part of the glass when kiln fired. Multiple layers of paint are applied to the glass, with kiln firings with each layer. This is a very old and time consuming technique.

This pendant measures approximately 1 3/8 inches wide by 1 1/4 inches high. A sterling silver plated bail will be epoxyed to the back.
