Vintage 50s Rhinestone Peking Glass Fish Brooch Pin

Description

It's hard to believe that this fabulous vintage 50's rhinestone and Peking glass fish brooch is unsigned -- yet it must have had a designer paper label at one time, since it's so finely made.

The attractive and twinkly vintage fish, is well cast with a brushed goldplated surface and zig zag piercework design. It has rhinestone encrusted head, fins, and tail – pave set with clear faceted stones, and decorative green marbled Peking glass cabs along it's body.

The funny carp-like fish has a garnet red cab for it's eye, and the cutest little 'fish lips' (remember "The Incredible Mr. Limpet"? See last pic).

It measures a considerable 3&3/8 inches in length by 1&1/4 inches high at it’s widest point (from top fin to dorsal fin), and has a nice solid weight of 25.4 grams.

A lovely unsigned beauty, in well preserved condition with all stones clear and intact.
