Felt Drop Spindle Case

Description

Zip up your drop spindle in this felt case with offset end seams. It is created with a naturally dyed bluefaced leicester roving from Tactile Fiber Arts. This particular roving was selected for the whorled texture of the finished fabric as well as its strength.

The inside is a pale light blue; the outside is a rich plum with a stripe of pale grey tussah silk fiber. The plum fibers migrated upwards as the felt came together to give a subtle magenta hue to the midnight blue outside.

The felt was worked for a long time to create a sturdy and durable fabric, able to hold up to needles, scissors and other sharp objects that might slice through a more lightweight bag.

Though this case was designed specifically to hold a drop-spindle, it has many potential uses.

Features belt loop or handle, depending on how you look at it (carabiner not included).

Measures 5" (13cm) wide and 10" (25cm) long.
