world unto itself I, a handprinted etching by Mariann Johansen-Ellis

"World unto itself I" is a handprinted etching, this means that as the artist, I create a copperplate that holds the image, from this copperplate I print an edition, every time a print is printed, the copperplate has to be inked up, this means that small differences can occur, and should be treasured as to why etching are called original prints.

I print "World unto itself I" on a piece of beautiful warm white printmaking paper, that measures 13" x 9.5", the size of the copperplate image is 4.5" x 4.5", this gives you plenty of paper to frame the print as a statement if you would like.

I sign, title and number each print.
"World unto itself I" is printed in an edition of 40 prints.
Please note that I can't guarantee that you receive the number in the photograph.

I'll mail your print in a padded envelope on a piece of stiff backing, in a cellophane sleeve, it comes with flier that explains what an etching is and a nice sticker that
says "An original print by Mariann Johansen-Ellis"
