Agnes Vintage French Linen and Merino Wool Felt Necklace/Bracelet

I was so thrilled to find some more vintage linen cord. Vicky, the owner of Metisse, my favourite shop has finally located some more on one of her trips to France. She scours the ancient villages and towns and brings back the most wonderful vintage and antique pieces. This cord is so much older than the last lot it has a wonderful patina to it and the smell transports you to an old French chateau, it has clearly been sitting somewhere, untouched for years.
This piece has been woven into a slim necklace/bracelet onto which I have attached a sweet charcoal grey 5 petal flower with a pale mustard yellow centre. Despite its' simplicity, this is a really eyecatching piece with a lovely understated palette.
The flower has been double knitted, then felted and hand sculpted with a felting needle to create a unique, one of a kind item.
Wrap once around the neck or twice around the wrist. Voila!

Flower measures 2" 17" long, fastens with a loop and a lovely old button from my collection.
