What makes a Crooked Stick Original Shawl pin so unique? The shape makes it really difficult for the pin to back itself out of your shawl or other piece of knitted clothing.

Here is a really pretty Crooked Stick Original shawl pin or hair pin crafted from a very pretty piece of exotic Bocote wood from the West Indies. Bocote is a hard, dense wood which makes for a very strong and durable stick.

I shape these all by hand, sand them till they're as smooth as a baby's bottom, and seal them with natural tung oil to preserve and protect the wood. When that has cured I buff on a coat of bees wax for a durable finish.

No two will be exactly alike, and all of them to me are beautiful. Hopefully you will agree!
