Antique German Prayer Book Beautiful Illustrations
Description
Beautiful German prayer book with a page and Bible verse in German for each day. The book measures about 3 1/2" x 5".The cover has an almost mother of pearl finish to it- I've never seen paper with a finish quite like it. The pages are edges in gold, but it has worn with time, and the end papers have a pretty gold design.
The book has six full color illustrations and they are lovely. A few pages have names and years written on them in pencil. I believe these books were also used to keep track of birthdays.
