Vintage Large Petit Point Locket Avon 1977 Dog Picture E1217

Description

This large vintage round locket with floral petit point is fron from Avon 1977. It has a dog picture inside. Very sweet piece - especially for dog lovers. Dark background shows off the blue and pink flowers. Being a dog lover this locket just grabs me. I wonder who loved this puppy so much she wore his picture around her neck. Did she wear it in his memory or was he still with her? It would be a great addition a collection of vintage lockets.

Condition:
Very good; very, very mild plating wear on locket & a little more moderate wear on chain. There is some glare making it look like the color is uneven on back of the locket but it is not.

Medium heavy rope chain is 24 inches long
Locket is 1 7/8 inches in diameter
