Pacific Sea-Maiden Shell Hair Sticks

Description

Beautiful and elusive are the Pacific Sea-Maids, with their finely patterned fins and trailing filaments.

Their "hair" is actually external gill filaments, used to extract oxygen from the water. The filaments only extend from their heads, and like human hair, needs to be groomed by combing or brushing, and act sometimes witnessed by others when they perch on reefs and rocks during low tide.

This pair, taking elements from the sea herself, could have been left atop a rocky outcrop from the sea if one of these Sea Maids were startled off.

The pair of the Pacific Sea Maid is built on rosewood. Atop the stick is a bone rondelle which uplifts a twisting pewter vase. Accented with silver, the design of the stick leaps upwards to a beautiful pair of sliced metra skeleton shells.

The pair has an overall length of 6.5 in and a usable length of 4.5 in.
