Bee Hive Yourself Vintage Glass Beehive necklace

The naughty bee has landed in my teacup again. Well, at least this time he brought me a luscious drop of honey.


Cute brass bee is behaving himself nicely by carrying a wonderful very old pressed glass amber beehive. The golden beehive seems to glow with it's own inner light. In the old days, they would use things like gold, mercury, and all sorts of "illegal" items to the glass mix to come up with the most beautiful colors. Very naughty....

The entire necklace measures about 16 1/2 inches. The chain is vintage brass, and has been sealed to protect it's wonderful patina.

The bee is lead free brass which is coated with an oxidized finish.

♥Both the chain and beehive are very old. Please use ETSY zoom to get a closer look. Vintage pressed glass was molded, and then the excess glass was hand trimmed. Therefore, the glass may have uneven trim...which is pretty cool!
