SowZerE - Pure Silk Ribbons and Strings - Twilight

Description

You will receive two chiffon ribbons and two strings(four silks) in the Twilight Collection - reds/burnt orange/charcoal. Lovely rich colours with Halloween in mind and inspired by the Stephenie Meyer book and film).

The ribbons and strings are all 100% pure silk and I use the finest Italian silk thread in my overlocker and only natural threads when stitching the strings. The ribbons are crinkle chiffon, crepe-de-chine,georgette or dupion (see individual items) and the strings are habotai or pongee which we (my daughter-in-law stitches the strings) stitch and turn before hand dyeing. I use procion (fast) dyes which will take a hand warm wash in mild soapflakes and I iron the ribbons and lightly steam the strings before despatch. The ribbons are approximately 1/2" wide and the strings 1/8".

The ribbons are 40" long and the strings 50" long approximately. I cut the strings on the cross of the fabric so they drape well and the ribbons are left unfinished at the ends. All the silks are beautifully soft to the touch and complement your lampwork or jewellery designs.
