Natural sapphires in deep ocean bluesand greens cascade from gold vermeil ear wires.

The sapphires are the mysterious colors of sunlight filtering through sea water; all deep, clear blues and aqua greens, warmed by a touch of golden yellow.

These are lovely little stones, some of them rather included, but with tremendous sparkle and personality. There are 20 sapphires on each earring, with a combined weight of just over 15 carats. I wrapped each stone individually in 14k gold vermeil wire, for earrings that dance and sparkle like like water off the prow of a fast boat.

The earrings measure about 1.5 inches (3.75 cm) from the tops of 18k gold vermeil frech wire closures.

Sapphire is the birthstone for September.

These natural gem stones come from the Tunduru sapphire fields of Tanzania. They have been heated to enhance their beauty.
