The butterfly has long been a symbol of transformation, growth and renewal, souls and spirits.

DESIGN
This beautiful and delicate butterfly wing sits in a sterling silver cup and is preserved with a clear, glassy sealant. Because it is so thin, it is a bit transparent, allowing the silvery reflection of the cup to shine through with the light.

CHOOSE ONE BUTTERFLY
-Monarch Butterfly (danaus plexippus)
The color is a deep orange and black. This is the UPPER wing, if you would like the lower wing as in the last photo, just let me know.

-Rice Paper Butterfly (idea leuconoe)
This is a black and white wing, sometimes its more ivory in color. It is transparent so you can see the silver reflecting the light through the wing.

-Birdwing Butterfly (troides rhadamanthus)
Vibrant Yellow with black lines. Gorgeous!

MEASUREMENTS
This pendant measures 20mm (1/2" about the size of a nickel). This comes on an 18" sterling silver chain.

SAFE ORIGIN
All of my butterfly wings are from a Butterfly Conservation garden where the butterflies live their full lives until they naturally expire. The gardens collect the wings and I make jewelry with them. I feel this is a great way to recycle these wings so people can appreciate them long after their time.
