Romantic Boho Chic necklace

Description

Long before the "Flower Power" movement and days of Haight/Ashbury there was the Aesthetic Movement in Europe.

It was the mid-Victorian era and amongst the artist and poets a movement was underfoot.

The Industrial Revolution was happening and manufactured goods were being produced. The people of this movement rejected these ugly goods. Woman got rid of there corsets and started wearing flowing clothes made of natural dyes. People started eating a vegetarian diet..Sounds like the hippy movement, huh!

So, I designed this necklace with a feel of those times. A long necklace with a Victorian style focal piece to wear over your flowing blouse or dress.

The focal piece is antiqued copper and has a beautiful Victorian style look to it.

The colors are a soft green and would look lovely matched up with cream or a pale sage.

From this piece I dangled a variety of glass from the Czech Republic with copper and two different colors of Swarovski Crystals, Indian Sapphie and Ernite.

The pendant is 3 3/4 inches long. The antiqued copper chain necklace is 21 inches long, making the piece hang at a total length of 24 3/4 inches. It is finished with a antiqued lobster copper clasp.
