The Stockings Were Hung Primitive Cloth Doll With Handstitched Face

Description

Designed by A Stitch In Time this doll measures 20 inches. She is made from muslin with a handstitched face and black snaps for eyes. Hair is a lumpy bumpy yarn stitched in place. Dress is a green checked homespun with old crochet for a collar, trim with a rusty safety pin and a button sewn in its place at neck. Her apron is handstitiched with black floss and reads the stockings were hung by the chimney with care. Legs are of red ticking. The stockings are baby socks I dyed red and are attached to apron with two small cloth pins. Coffee dyed. I have this one looking for a new home this holiday season.
