Rainbow dyed 8.4oz Wool Top Autumn 5

Description

I’m introducing my Autumn Colorway, a series of drab olive top, over dyed with a selection of bright colors, applied in a process of rainbow dyeing. This lot number five resulted in mostly shades of green, purple and rust/orange, although there are cool primary colors visible too. Each dye-lot is just a little different, but with the same base top, they co-ordinate and compliment each other. Called Autumn, it is reminiscent of the light and shadows of a deep woodland.

This is a soft wool, free of VM, ready to spin, needle felt, or wet felt. Personally I think a nuno felted scarf with some of this would be intriguing.

This lot weighs 8.4oz (240g) and was dyed in my kitchen with a commercial acid dye.
