Purple Flowers Cross with Color in Motion Curved Tube Beads

Description

This layered millefoiri cross started life as a Christmas ornament until my sister came along and said – that would make a gorgeous pendant! The cross started with a base of white polymer clay, then very thin slices of a purple flower cane and a purple, white and blue spiral cane were added.

Then we went to my bead stash and found the perfect beads to match the cross. I had made these curved tube beads as a part of the Color in Motion series but had not yet found the perfect use for them. My sister took them and the cross home and put them together with some silver filigree beads and small purple glass beads to make this gorgeous necklace. I'm proud to say this is a collaborative effort by Harrison Hollow Designs and Dragonfly Soap Company (yes, she makes handmade soap too!) The cross measures 3 inches from top to bottom and 2 inches across. The beaded portion of the necklace measures 18 inches and has a silvertone toggle closure.
