From Fulgence Marion's 1869 'Les Ballons et Les Voyages Aeriens', here is a wonderful illustration of a sad tragedy, only seconds away as Nicolas-Edme Restif takes a fateful step.

The steel engraving shows very little foxing along the edges, the engraving is clear & smooth. The paper's reverse is clean & blank. The paper measures 4.25" x 6.875" (10.8 x 17.5 cm) and there are no folds, tears, creases or marks on the page.
