A Bureau Bear - Artist MadeI had not seen one before I met this lovely bureau bear. His base is made of a tapestry material and stuffed with tiny glass beads. This makes the bear very stable.
He is meant to sit on a bureau and be a place to secure a pin collection.
This bear was constructed in 1999 by Heidi Miller. I believe she lived in Alaska or Mid West and then moved to northern New York where I met her. The original card with information is still attached to the bear. The fabric is vintage.
He is lovely. He needs a new home. I have enjoyed him for several years.
