Large Luna Moth Barrette
Description
For those of you with more hair; a large leather luna moth barrette.This barrette is made entirely from 8 oz premium carved leather. The moth is hand carved, shaped, stiffened with heat, and sealed.
Then, I paint it with Liquitex acrylics & seal it again. A large French bow clip (approx 3 inches across) is cemented to the back.
This clip is durable enough for everyday wear, yet also a signed, dated original piece of art.
I researched this moth; the barrette accurately depicts a luna moth AND it is about the same size as the real moth; almost 4 inches across!
