These earrings feature magnificent Fluorite stones, neatly and securely wrapped with Sterling Silver. They would be great for a Fluorite lover, a stone collector, or just anyone who likes simple earthy jewelry. The stones are chubby teardrops with glittering facets and frothy internal veils which look like bubbles in the water to me. The stones themselves measure 15mm tall and 11mm wide (certainly not little!) and the earrings are a touch over 1 1/4" from the top of the sterling earhooks.

Regarding the color ~~ Fluorite as with many natural stones actually fluoresce when exposed to UV light. Just google "fluorescent minerals" and you'll see what I mean. But what is different about some stones (*rare!) is that the UV rays in just natural sunlight actually cause a mild color change, known as Daylight Fluorescence!! For this reason, these amazing Fluorite stones actually appear more peacock blue when seen outdoors (like the pictures here) but indoors they are more of a seafoam green color.
